Nutella Ice Cream


Popular for years in Europe, Nutella recently has started making a name for itself in the United States. Made of hazelnuts and chocolate, this delicious spread is a delightful alternative to peanut butter in a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, as well as in ice cream.

INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 1 QUART
1 cup Nutella
¾ cup sugar
1¾ cups half and half 1 cup heavy cream Pinch salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1. Combine all ingredients in the food processor, and purée until very smooth. Chill in
 refrigerator for 2–4 hours, or overnight.
2. Once chilled, add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
