¾ cup raisins, chopped
¼ cup dark rum 2 cups cream
2 cups half and half
¾ cup sugar
¼ teaspoon fresh-grated nutmeg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For a more robust flavor in your recipe, choose dark rum. For a more subtle taste, go with something a little lighter.
1. Soak raisins in dark rum overnight.
2. Stir everything together. Refrigerate 2 hours. Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
