Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

The addition of a little lemon juice here creates a playful tang that delights the taste buds. If you prefer more zip, use the zest and juice of one or more lemons

INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 1 QUART
4 cups strawberries
Juice and zest of ½ lemon 1 cup sugar
1 cup Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. In a small bowl, combine the strawberries, lemon juice and zest, and sugar. Stir and allow to macerate at room temperature for 1–2 hours.
2. After strawberries are ready, place all ingredients in a blender or food processor, and blend until smooth.
3. Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing
