Lemonade Sorbet

One bite of this refreshing sorbet will have you reminiscing about the days of backyard ballgames and sidewalk lemonade stands. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 1 QUART
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 cup prepared lemonade
¾ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

Lemonade Stands
While most commonly associated with school children, the first lemonade stand was set up by a shopkeeper in New York City in 1879. It was so popular that the police had to intervene when it thwarted sidewalk traffic.

1. Place the sugar and water in a small saucepan, and stir over medium heat until all of the sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool; combine with the lemonade and lemon juice. Cover and refrigerate until cool.
2. Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
