Tart Apple Sorbet

Prepare to pucker in the tastiest way with this incredible sorbet. You can opt to use the readily available Granny Smith apples, or any other apple that offers a tangy bite.

INGREDIENTS | YIELD: 1 QUART
⅔ cup sugar
1 tablespoon corn syrup 1 cup water
2 tart apples, peeled and cored Juice of 1 lemon

1. Place the sugar, corn syrup, and water in a small saucepan; stir over medium heat until boiling. Allow to cool.
2. Slice the peeled and cored apples thinly, and drizzle the fresh lemon juice over them. Allow to rest, refrigerated, for up to 1 hour.
3. Place chilled apples and lemon juice (if any remains) in a food processor, and purée until smooth. Add in the sugar syrup and process until well combined.
4. Add to ice cream maker and follow manufacturer’s instructions for freezing.
